Aerobee Hi and Aerobee 300
Excelsior Rocketry is proud to offer decals for the Aerobee
Hi and Aerobee 300. These groundbreaking rockets were first introduced by Aerojet General in 1955 and 1958 respectively. They
paved the way for future US sounding rockets.
Excelsior is proud to offer these decals to fit both a BT60
(1.637" dia.) main airframe and a BT80 (2.6" dia.) main airframe. They are the finishing touch to a scale model.
Please take a moment to view Vincent Chichak's
BT60 base Aerobee Hi that he built last year for Scale competition. He has over $150.00 invested in parts and documentation
and over a 100 hours in work and preparation. Vincent reports that the rocket did well in the
scale judging,. I also flew well, and gap staged perfectly, but several shroud lines failed and the body fell horizontaly
to the ground. Luckily, there was no damage, and the rocket will fly again.
Scaled to fit BT60: $6.00
Scaled to fit BT80: $9.00

V2 'pinup' decal set
One of the first captured V2 launches at White Sands was also arguably the most colorful. Launch
number 3, on May 10, 1946 saw a Yellow and Black V2 fly to an altitude of 70 miles. While this yellow and black paint
scheme is pretty neat, period pictures from the Smithsonian show something even more interesting: On the tail, between
fins III and IV, can be seen a nose-art style rendering of a pinup girl straddling a V2. Future flights were not only painted
black and white, but no other V2 documentation shows any trace of the "V2 girl"
This decal set is the finishing touch for a model of flight #3. Included are the Roman
numerals in black and white for each fin, as well as the 'V2 girl' in the following scales:
1/72
1/49 (BT-55)
1/40 (BT-60)
1/25 (BT-80)
1/16.5 (BT101)
V2 'pinup girl' decal set: $8.00
